Particle Size Data Assurance

In order to guarantee the tightest possible particle size distribution within every batch, Mant uses a wide range of processes designed to ensure that customers receive consistent product, batch after batch, ensuring consistent finish and removal states.

Image Analysis

Mant has developed its own Image Analysis package to study micron diamond powder particle size and shape.  A pow2009-10-11-09-13-28-2erful computer captures high resolution images from a microscope or from our in house scanning electron microscope equipped with on screen magnification.  These images are analyzed using Mant commissioned software that measures the diameter, size and shape of hundreds of particles.

Diamond Powder Surface Purity

In order to enhance the surface purity of its Mant Diamond Powders, Mant uses a variety of electrical, mechanical, chemical and thermal treatments to purify crystals.  Thanks to the purity of our product, dry powders flow freely and they mix well with resin and liquid carriers.  In fact, Mant powders are selected by leading slurry manufacturers for their consistent quality and purity.  Mant Micron Diamond Powder is the answer for all types of diamond tooling.

Sub Micron Sem Photography

“Seeing is believing”, and Mant offers customers photos of its order.  In addition to the quantitative analysis provided by the wide range of Mant measuring equipment, these SEM images allow you to “examine” your shipment of Mant Micron Diamond Powders, and compare batches.  In order to provide the precise powder that you need for sub-microns, Mant has invested in laboratory and analysis equipment to maintain its industry-leading standards for tight sub-micron tolerances.  As part of our comprehensive customer service, we will provide speedy analysis of your diamond powders and create the ideal mixture for every application.  Mant’s laboratory is equipped with a Joyce Lobel Disc Centrifuge the DCF4 sub-micron analyzer that has an effective range between 3 to 0.005 microns and provides electron microscope equivalent date.  In addition, our SEM F-60 using PHOTON CORRELATION SPECTROSCOPY.  The method is based on the measurement of light fluctuations scattered from particles suspended in a fluid when illuminated by a coherent Laser light beam.

Mant uses the Elzone Electron Scanning technique to count and measure more than 50,000 particles in less than a minute.  We can produce mean, median and mode volume diameter measurements which ensure that every batch meets the most demanding specifications.  We determine the ideal median mix for every customer and tailor deviation-free orders to their specification.   A Particle Size Distribution (PSD) is available with each and every shipment.

Horiba

Using laser scattering analysis with sophisticated computer software makes the Horiba the choice for accurate consistent horibaparticle data retrieval.  The Horiba along with the software allows the manufacture and end user to see a complete breakdown of all needed data to insure product specs and consistency.
