Silicone Coating Designations:
MMB-Si – This is our premium Metal bond coated with a 3% Silicone coating percentage.
Mant USA Silicone Coatings are special for Saw Grit Diamond for vacuum sintering tools. By reacting with the element C in the diamond, SiC is formed which improves bond retention and assists the transfer of heat from the grinding area, minimizing localized overheating and avoiding thermal degradation of both the diamond and the bond. This results in extended crystal and bond life and higher working efficiency. The Si Coated Saw Grit diamond can bear high temperature up to 1050 degree Celsius.
